An Accra Circuit Court has today, Thursday, 21 October 2021 remanded dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale and three other accomplices into police custody for a week.
They were remanded during their first appearance in court.
Shatta Wale (Charles Nii Armah Mensah) was arrested in connection with a staged gun attack on him.
The dance hall artiste is in court for his alleged involvement in the creation and circulation of information intended to cause fear and panic.
He is in custody with three of his crew members who staged the fake act.
The fake act was staged by the entertainer and his crew after one Bishop Steven Akwasi Appiah, also known as Jesus Ahuofe, prophesied on Accra100.5FM on 28 September 2021 that a popular dancehall artiste called ‘Charles’ would be shot dead on 18 October 2021 just as Lucky Dube was shot dead in South Africa.
The pastor is also in police custody
