On Tuesday, 10th August 2021, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo commenced a two-day working visit to the Bono Region, with visits to Sunyani, Berekum, Domfete and Wamfie.

Amongst others, he paid a courtesy call on the Sunyani Traditional Council and visited the palace of the Omanhene of the Berekum Traditional Area, Dasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo III.

Nana Akufo-Addo also opened the $16 million WEDDI Africa Tomato factory in Domfete in the Berekum West constituency; paid a courtesy call on the Omanhene of Wamfie; and inspected ongoing work on the construction of the 36km Wamfie-Adiembra road
