Captain Smart says Ghana will be fixed at all cost
Captain Smart’s conviction of Ghana becoming a better place was reemphasised when thousands joined him and others to stage the #FixTheCountry protest.
During his speech at the Independence Square Wednesday, August 4, 2021, Captain Smart, a leading member of the demonstration noted the protest will change the fortunes of the country to assuage the usual challenges confronting the people.
The era, where graduates stay home for half decades without jobs after graduation will cease.
“Whether they like it or not, this country will be better. It’ll never happen again that the youth of this country will complete university and stay unemployed,” he expressed.
Proceeding with his speech, he mentioned series of corruptible incidents from various governments since the inception of the 4th Republic.
“Before Rawlings became president, he told us he is going to make Ghana better but he sold Nsawam Cannery to his wife before leaving office”
“Kufuor gave Professor Kassim Kassanga $5 million for mango plantation and he brought only three trees”
“President Mills’ time was when the money was given to Woyome whilst he warned them not to pay. Then Mahama came and guinea fowls flew to Burkina”
“Nana Addo said he’s going to protect us but police officers are being killed anyhow. Ahmed Suale was killed after which Ken Agyapong said he knows the killer but Nana Addo hasn’t done anything about it”
“The outgone IGP sat on a radio station and deceived Ghana police about their salary increment”
“31 people are going to use $3.5 million to purchase vehicles whilst the youth of Ghana have no jobs,” he narrated to the protesters.
He added that president Akufo-Addo cannot utter his “I’m not corrupt” mantra anymore because he is surrendered by corrupt people and it was time Ghanaians rethink their lives without the NPP and NDC.
